Converting .WRF to .WMV

Process Summary

Introduction
Local WebEx recordings are initially saved as WebEx Recorder Files
(.wrf). This file type is specific to WebEx software. To save your file
into a more universal Windows Media Video (.wmv) using the WebEx
Editor, follow these steps.

Installation
1. Visit http://towson.webex.com.
2. Login using your TU NetID and password.
3. Select the Training Center button.
4. Select Downloads located on the left side menu.
5. Select the Recording and Playback link located within the table.
6. On the recording and playback page select the WebEx Recording Editor download link to install
the editor onto your computer (Figure 1).

1. Open the WebEx Recording Editor application.


2. From the File menu select Open.
3. Locate and select your .WRF file.
4. Click the Open button.

5. The file is now open and ready to be converted.


6. From the File menu select Export To (Figure 2, 1).
7. Choose a location to save your file to and click the Save
button.

8. Your WebEx recording has been converted to a Windows


Media Video file (.wmv).
