Comment- how is a terrorists viewed as a hero for killing civilians
-subconscious fear of death and seeking significant purpose can influence a
terrorists to do what they do.
Comment: So they feel purposeless, and feel a sense of security when in a
terrorist group
-psychologists finding suggest that assuaging terrorist fear of cultural
annihilation can prevent terrorist attacks
Comment- so is the government threatening their safety and how so?
-Research shows that joining a terrorist group gives a sense of security
Comments: perhaps the weaponry and the team of people working to
accomplish the same goal makes them feel less fearful
De-radicalization
-intellectual component, emotional component and social component.
Comment: soo the de-radicalization program uses different tactics to reassure
terrorists.
One big problem with terrorism policy is that it interprets things from our
perspective
Comment: people rarely try to see another cultures point of view. Ethnocentrism
is very real.
