Student Impact Study: Post-assessment

1. Standards:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RF.K.1.B
Recognize that spoken words are represented in written language by specific sequences
of letters.
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RF.K.2
Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes).
2. Objectives:
SWBAT: Recognize kindergarten high frequency words
SWBAT- Read aloud known high frequency/sight words
3. Materials: word list, highlighters, high frequency word flash cards, pen
4. Procedures:
1. Pre-assessment
- (Similar to my pre-assessment) For my post-assessment with my case study
student I will be using flash cards to display our high frequency words. To log the
knowledge of these words, I will be using a chart and highlighting in different
colors (following a key) to keep track of what is performed during this lesson.
- This post-assessment will allow me to see how my student improved from our
instructional strategies
5. Assessment:
- This activity (logging the results in a chart)
6. Management Issues, Transitions, and Differentiation:
- One two three eyes on me, clap phrase to gain attention, using our listening ears
- Working individually with student(s) who need assistance
