Discussion:
1

1. Why are the classification and naming of organisms important?

It is important to enable organisms to be easily and accurately identified and to enable
scientists to communicate effectively using a common scientific name.
2. Explain the rules that you need to follow when you name organisms based on the Linnaeus
binomial system.
Each organism has 2 names.
First name is the genus and starts with a capital letter.
Second name is species and starts with a small letter.
3. What are the similar characteristics of organisms from the same species?
They share common features and can interbreed with one another.
Conclusion:
Every organism has a common name and a scientific name.
