No specific lab text book required handouts will be passed


around in class and additional information will be provided.

Attendance:

Attendance is required for all labs. If a lab time must be missed,


inform the lab instructor before missing the lab so that arrangement
can be made to provide lab data to the student, thus they can write
the required report. Missing lab is not an excuse for not turning in a
lab report the next week.

Grades:

Around 6 or 7 labs will be assigned over the course of the semester.


Each lab will be worth ten points each. Lab reports will have a one
point deduction for each calendar day late, not each class day.

Disabled Students

Disabled students are encouraged to register with the Office of Disablility


Services, 348-4285. Thereafter, they are requested to schedule an
appointment with the instructor to discuss accommoadatins or other
special needs.

Lab #1 : Sample Preparation (1 week)


Lab #2 : Specific Gravity Measurement (1 week)
Lab #3 : Uniaxial Compression Tests with dial gage(1 week)
Lab #4 : Strain Gage Mounting(1 week)
Lab #5 : Uniaxial Compression Tests with Mounted Strain gage(1 week)
Lab #6 : Brazilian Test (1 week)
Lab #7 : Dynamic Test (1 week)
Lab #8 : Flexural Strength Test(1 week)
