During that time, | was the Assistant Principal at Rippling Woods Elementary Mr. Emlet was one of the amazing teachers on the 3” grade team, From the first day | observed his positive interactions with students and throughout the school year, Mr. Emlet always impressed me. In ‘addition to his regular duties as a classroom teacher, Mr. Emilet held various other roles including being, a member of the School Improvement Team, the school's e-Coach, providing professional development, maintaining the school's website, served on the Wellness Committee, and was a member of the Leadership Team. ‘Throughout our year working together, | had the opportunity to observe and interact with Mr. Emlet on a dally basis. While he had rather large number of students in his class (because so many parents requested him), several students with behavioral concerns, and a wide range of student ability levels, Mr. Emlet consistently provided high quality, differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners, Mr. Emlet consistently demonstrated a positive and professional attitude and built strong relationships with his students, parents, colleagues and school community. He made sure his students learned. If students had difficulty, he would go above and beyond to provide additional support. Being a highly effective teacher comes naturally to Mrs. Emlet. He has effective time management skills, consistently demonstrates instructional leadership, shows long range planning, utilizes formative and summative assessment data to drive instruction, meets required deadlines well in advance, and has ‘earned a high level of respect from school administration, teachers and staff. Most impressively, Mr. Emlet is very creative with utilizing instructional technology such as Smart Boards and all pupil response jis students are highly engaged in rigorous instruction, systems. | would highly recommend Mr. Emlet as a candidate in any school. With his superior level of skills, he ‘would be a valuable asset to any school. In addition, he has strong interpersonal and communication skill, I would not hesitate to rehire Mr. Emlet as he is a true leader and valuable member of the school team.
