You have the unique opportunity to explain the power of one in a digital way.
Follow the steps listed below in the order they are listed. This will take you to
your final project!
Your Final Project Must Have Three Hard Truths
1. The Positive Effects of a Historical Character on their Culture/Society
2. The Negative Effects of a Historical Character on their Culture /
Society
3. Creativity!

Goal Setting
In the Space below, you need to write out answers to the following questions:
1. What goals do you have for this project?

2. What does the Power of One mean to you?

3. Why is it important to understand the Power of One?

Research
Research a Historical Character and Answer the Following Questions
a. Pick a powerful leader or role model for your project. Who is that person
and why did you pick him/her?

b. What positive effects did your character have on their society/culture ?

c. What negative effects did your character have on their society/culture ?

Now on to the Digital Part!

Pick one of the following projects. You are not starting on this yet. As soon as you have
chosen which one you will do, move to the planning step below.
1. A Political Commercial For Your Figure- commercials want to put someone in a
positive light. In your commercial, you need to let people know whats great about your
character while also having answers to negative perceptions
2. A Website for Your Figure- You are going create a political website for your
character. Much like the commercial you want to put your person in a positive light by
playing up the positives and answering the negative.
3. An Interview- 1 student is your character, and one student in the interviewer.
Interview the person as the historical figure. Make sure you cover both the positive and
negative effects of the person in the interview
4. Facebook Profile- Create a Fakebook profile of your historical charcter. Be creative
by adding post and pictures. Go to http://www.classtools.net/FB/home-page
5. Twitter Profile- Create a Twitter Profile of your historical character. Be creative by
adding post and pictures. Go to http://www.classtools.net/twister/

Planning
In the space provided below, you are going to plan out your project. Feel free to do
bulleted list or sketches. You must however have the following if you choose certain
projects.
If you choose to do a video in Imovie: You must have a script and or

layout before you record

If you doing the Interview- You need to have questions and answers
sketched out
If you do a website, twitter, facebook: please sketch out what these are
going to look like

Final Project
Take your planning section, and then follow the directions for your chosen project. Once
you are done, come back to this document and answer the questions in the evaluation
section
