Inquiry Question: What gear do I need to achieve great photos?

1) Capstone Project Summary:

In the box below, please type out a 200 – 300 word explanation of what you are planning to do with
your Capstone Project. It should be specific as possible, detailing what you hope to accomplish.
I am going to be doing photography for my Capstone Project. I chose this topic because I like to capture
moments in my lifetime and look back into it that I have made some memories in that particular place.
Taking pictures is like snapping or capturing a memory that you might forget. So, I will be taking pictures
while venturing in Downtown or in any city areas.

Core Competency: How you demonstrate it in your Capstone Project:

Personal Awareness & Self-Regulation: I have some obstacles that I am facing during this
Responsibility project. I can watch out for my choices and actions to make sure I may
not lose anything during the process. And only time can tell.

Well-Being: I have made decisions that affected my capstone and caused

some delays, but I am also making decisions that manage my personal
well-being.
Social Responsibility Solving problems in peaceful ways: I can sometimes see the outcomes of
the actions I make and make deep consequences.

Building relationships: I have made connections with family friends on

how and what can I do on this vehicle project.
Critical Thinking Question and Investigate: I have asked and researched on what I can do
on this project and answering them as realistic as possible.

Analyze and Critique: I have made some judgements on what I should do

on this vehicle, and it affects my learning since I am gaining more
knowledge about selling salvaged automobiles.
 Creative Thinking Developing Ideas: I have made some failures and learned from them. I
can improve and develop myself for the future.

Generating Ideas: I use my connections with people to gain knowledge

and ideas to perform a successful finished product.
Communication Explain/recount and reflect on experiences and accomplishments: I have
shared my knowledge on certain topics that I have known about.

Collaborate to plan, carry out, and review: I am more of an independent

person, but I have come out of my comfort zone and learn to work with
others in order to accomplish jobs. Teamwork is highly recommended in
the future.

my advantage and benefit from them too.

and started to focus on my future more realistically with the resources I
have.

3) Rationale/context: Detail your reasons for choosing this inquiry question.

Explain WHY you are choosing to investigate this topic as a major area of focus. How does this area of inquiry
connect to your passion(s), purpose? Why is it of personal interest to you?

I have some interest in photography since I like to capture moments that I might only see once in a life time.

4 ) Background: What background knowledge / connections / prior learning do you have that can help
you to be successful with your project?

I have taken Grade 9 Photography. Some of my friends take arts major in post-secondary school and
have been involved in some of their project.

5) Career connections: What is your intended career area at this point in time? What connections does
this inquiry question have to your life, academic and/ or career goals? What are you hoping to gain from
completing this project (other than graduating or passing CLC 12)?
 I like to go to car meets sometimes and take pictures of their cars. I am hoping that I will continue this
passion in the future.
