Inquiry Question: Will I be able to successfully repair dents

1) Capstone Project Summary:

In the box below, please type out 200 – 300 words explanation of what you are planning to do with
your Capstone Project. It should be as specific as possible, detailing what you hope to accomplish.

I have recently just bought a car and I really want to fix all the scratches on it. I don’t want to get someone
else to do it all because it will be very expensive. So, for my capstone I want to learn how to do
automotive body work and If I wanted to, I could use it for a career when I'm older. I don’t want to test
tools and things on my car so I'm going to go to a junk yard with cars and I will buy some fenders from the
cars, and I will learn how to do paint repair and learn how to fix dents. There are also a bunch of tools that
u need to do this and I don’t have any some im going to do some research on some of the best dent fixing
tools and hopefully better tools will make me more successful. And if I'm successful with the fenders from
the junk yard I will try to fix the dents in my car and i will be saving a lot of money doing it myself, but I will
have to be way more careful when working on my own car.

connect to your passion(s), purpose? Why is it of personal interest to you?

I chose my inquiry question because I am wondering if I will be able to successfully repair a dent and it
interests me because I am interested in knowing if I could use my skills for a career

4 ) Background: What background knowledge / connections / prior learning do you have that can help
you to be successful with your project?

I have always been into cars and I just recently got my N and I bought a car and the paint is not in the
best shape so I want to learn how to do paint repair and fix dents in a car so I can do it on my own car
and so I won't have to bring it to the shop and spend a lot of money

5) Career connections: What is your intended career area at this point in time? What connections does
this inquiry question have to your life, academic and/ or career goals? What are you hoping to gain from
completing this project (other than graduating or passing CLC 12)?

Once I complete my capstone project I want to gain a new skill that I did not think I would have and I
could use that skill for a career when I'm older
