Bobby: Thank you all for coming to Kit Kats first concert of her tour for her debut
album Hip Hopera, Im Bobby Pennsylvania her manager. She will be out very
soon.
(Kit Kat enters stage) Kit Kat: Hello Las Vegas oh wait Los Angeles! How is
everyone tonight?

Bobby Pennsylvania: Thank you for coming to Kit Kats one song show, the next one
will be in Detroit.
(Bobby Leaves stage)
(After concert)
Scene 2:
(Kit Kat enters, and then Bobby enters shortly after her)
(Bobby is holding flowers and wine)
Kit Kat: Oh wow my fans are amazing! Someone brought me flowers and wine!
Bobby: Ya! So hey I have to go plan my dogs funeral, Ill catch up with you
tomorrow!
Kit Kat: Okay, yeah Im sorry I hit it. I totally didnt see it in front of my car! Bye!
(She waves as Bobby exits)
Bobby: (as he exits) Oh Avery sweet puppy, I miss you so much.
Kit Kat: I need some wine!!

(Kit Kat drinks wine, then she gasps and screams and then she falls to the ground)
(Bobby enters stage)
Bobby: Kit Kat whats wrong, is everything all right? (Quieter to himself) I hope its
not more hate mail, she gets really upset
(Bobby sees Kit Kat lying on the floor)
Bobby: Oh no! Kit Kat wake up this isnt funny! (Goes to check Kit Kats pulse) Oh
geez youre dead! This is horrible!
(Bobby pulls out phone and calls 911)
Bobby: Hello I need help! Please come to the Opera house on Main Street!
Detective Russo: Yes we will be there soon.
(Bobby paces floor waiting for Detective Russo)
Scene 3:
(Detective Russo enters to stage)

Detective Russo: Hello I am Detective Susie Russo. What is the emergency here?
Bobby: Cant you see? She is dead!
Detective Russo: Yes I can see that. How long has she been dead for?
Bobby: She has been dead for about an hour.
Detective Russo: Does she have any medical problems?
Bobby: No I dont think so.
Detective Russo: I will collect some evidence and then we will head back to the
station.
(Detective Russo collects evidence, Bobby cries. Detective Russo and Bobby walk
off stage)
(Kit Kat goes off stage on opposite side)

Scene 4
(Detective Russo and Bobby walk into the police station)
(Officer Gustav walks in from opposite side)
Detective Russo: Mr. Pennsylvania I like you to meet our #1 officer. Officer Gustav
this is Bobby Pennsylvania the victims manager. Im going to do some research.
Officer Gustav: Oh Im so sorry Kit Kat is dead, she was truly talented. I will do
everything I can to help find out what happened.
Bobby Pennsylvania: Yes she was fabulous, one of a kind.
Detective Russo: Although we do not have cause of death, it seems that we have a
murder on our hands. There are two possible suspects. Mrs. Vatsug, her neighbor
whom calls often to complain about noise from Kit Kats home. Kits Kat ex-boyfriend
Gus Flink is also a suspect.
Officer Gustav: Im on it, Ill bring them in.
Bobby Pennsylvania: I cant believe she was murdered. (Bobby cries a little)
(Officer Gustav leaves stage)
Detective Russo: Dont worry Bobby well catch this murderer.
(Officer Gustav enters stage)

Officer Gustav: Okay, Mrs. Vatsug and Gus are in separate interrogation rooms, Ill
take Gus, youll question Mrs. Vatsug and we can meet back here.
Officer Gustav and Detective Russo: (Put hands together) Break!
(Officer Gustav and Detective Russo exit stage on opposite sides)
Bobby Pennsylvania: Oh thats my phone ringing, its the florist. (Picks up phone)
What do you mean roses? I specifically ordered hydrangeas! I swear if I cant get
good flowers for my dogs funeral Ill Ill okay good youve found some.
Goodbye.
(Bobby paces floor waiting for Detective Russo and Officer Gustav)
Scene 5:
(Officer Gustav and Detective Russo enter on stage)
Officer Gustav: Her ex-boyfriend Guss alibi checks out, an employee at McDonalds
can confirm he was at a back booth at time of murder.
Detective Russo: Her neighbor was planting tomatoes at that time too, so were
stuck.
Officer Gustav: Who else could it be, she didnt have many friends. Her family lives
in Florida.
Detective Russo: Im not sure. Were still waiting on the lab results for the cause of
death.
(Bobby walks up to Detective and Officer Gus)
Bobby: Have you found the murderer yet?
Detective Russo: No, were still trying.
Bobby: So you mean you havent found out who has poisoned her yet? How hard is
this going to be?
(Officer Gustav and Detective Russo look at each other)
Detective Russo: We didnt know that Kit Kat was poisoned, how did you?
Officer Gustav: Mr. Pennsylvania who gave you those gifts for Kit Kat? Where were
you before, during and after her death?
Bobby Pennsylvania: Well I was I was gathering her gifts from the concert.

Officer Gustav: I think well have to bring you in for questioning. (Officer Gustav
pulls on Bobbys arm and Bobby resists. A vile of poison falls out of Bobbys coat
pocket)
(Officer Gustav picks up vile of poison)
Officer Gustav: This is poison, you said she was poisoned.
Detective Russo: Bobby Pennsylvania you are being charged with the murder of Kit
Kat. Officer Gustav, please take him away.
Officer Gustav: (As he pulls Bobby and himself off stage) Why Bobby, why? Whyd
you ruin such talent?
Bobby: You dont even understand! She killed my dog! Avery had so much to live
for, and she took it all away. My dog was my only family left! Wait! Wait! Wait! Will I
be able to attend the funeral I planned for him?
Detective Russo: Well see about that. (Bobby and Officer Gustav exit stage) The
murderer was right under our noses, Im so glad we caught Bobby Pennsylvania.
(Officer Gustav enters stage)
Officer Gustav: I was going to go to Kit Kats next concert, but thats not happening.
(Officer continues to walk across stage as Detective Russo speaks, and then she
and he walk off together)
Detective Russo: I know Officer Gustav; I know what a fan you are. Lets go.
(Officer Gustav and Detective Russo exit stage)
