    You need a cosmetology license to be
    able to cut peoples hair. To become an
    esthetician you also have to have a
    license.
    You can set your own hours and can
    set your own pay.
    The average wage for a Hair Salon and
    Spa Manager is $12.44 per hour.

    Outlook for the Future


    My outlook is looking bright. I already
    have my schedule set up to where I
    can go junior and senior year. I will
    have my cosmetology license before
    I graduate high school.

    Enviorment

    Its usually a pretty laid back work


    environment. All people are coming
    to do is to get prettied up.

    Its still rare to find hairdressers who
    are willing to transgress racial
    boundaries in the styling of hair.
    Barbershops and beauty parlors
    remain amongst the most
    segregated of public spaces.
