Title:
CAPTAIN OF BAND VESSEL FOR LFA35 FISHING SEASON

Dear Sir/Madam:

You are invited to submit one (1) signed copy of a contracted price quote to Captain the Band Vessel for
the LFA35 Fishing Season.

Duties would include, but not limited to:
Plan and oversee the fishing operations which includes the location of fishing, duration of
fishing, safety of all crew members;
Ensuring fishing vessel is seaworthy, oversee purchases of gear, supplies, bait, fuel and netting;
Plot the vessels course by upswing compasses, charts and electronic navigation devices; and,
Directs fishing operations and records daily log activities.

Submitted quotes is to be based on percentage. Sipeknekatik members will receive a two per cent
discrepancy over non-members. Quotes must also provide:
Years of experience
Provide catch records
Provide a criminal records check
Provide copy of Master Class 4 license
Provide valid drivers licence

Sealed quotes will be accepted until 12 p.m. Atlantic Time, Friday, May 29, 2015. Quotes must be
signed and submit the package in a sealed envelope and addressed:

RFQ documents may be downloaded from sipeknekatik.ca/category/public-tenders. The successful
contracted Captain must successfully pass the mandatory drug screening

Sipeknekatik will not necessarily accept the most economical or any of the quotes received and it
reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotes received, which shall be final and at the sole
discretion of the Band.
