ACP Reflection Paper
My ACP Plan and Why I chose to do it:
The topic that I chose to explore for my senior project is anxiety disorder in adolescents.
For my ACP, I wanted to conduct a workshop that would raise awareness of children with
anxiety for teachers. On April 8th, 2015 two other seniors and I conducted a workshop for the
teachers of new media. During this workshop, LCSW Amy Mack discussed what anxiety
disorder, depression, and bipolar disorder looks like in adolescents, intervention methods, and
why intervention is important. I chose to conduct a workshop for teachers because my project
directly deals awareness.
What went well?, What went badly ?:
The day of my ACP was extremely hectic. It felt like a million things went wrong. The
brochures that I created did not print correctly, so I had to go through hell and back to ensure that
my brochures were the way the I intended them to be. Also, the auditorium was double booked
during the time of my event. Because of that, I was under a lot of stress trying to find a new
location to hold my event. Although a lot of things went wrong this day, there were a lot of
things that went right. With the help of Ms. Rowe, and Ms. Jansen, I was able to fix my
brochures and successfully print out them and Ms. Hawkins, (you) allowed me to use her
classroom to facilitate my event. There was a nice amount of teachers who came to this
workshop. More importantly, the teachers retained the information that the expert gave them.
Did it live up to your expectations ?

My ACP exceeded my expectations. Leading up to my ACP, I was nervous that it

wouldn't turn out right. However, it turned out perfect. The teachers who participated were
attentive, and they enjoyed themselves. Not only did my project meet my expectations, but it met
the participants attention as well.
