    VeterinaryTechnicianwouldserveasapotentialbackupcareerformebecausethis
    particularcareerishighlysimilartomyidealcareerwhichislargeanimalveterinarian.Iwould
    findthisjobtobeparticularlysatisfyingbecauseitwillgivemetheopportunitytoworkand
    interactwithvarioustypesofanimalsandcontributetotheoverallimprovementoftheirhealth.
    Asaveterinarytechnician,Iwouldbeabletosuccessfullyexpandmyknowledgeandreceive
    trainingandhandsonexperienceinanimalnursing,radiology,clinicallaboratoryprocedures,
    andsurgicalassistancewhichareareasofveterinarymedicinethatIfindinterestin.Thevalues
    thatthiscareerwouldsatisfyincludeworkandfriendshipbecausenotonlywillthisjoballowme
    toencounteravarietyofanimalseveryday,butIwillalsobeabletocollaboratewithmyfellow
    coworkersandstaffmembers.Also,thevalueoffamilywouldbesatisfiedbythiscareerbecause
    thejobconsistsofflexiblehourswhichwouldenablemetospendmoretimewithmyloved
    ones.TheskillsandstrengthsthatIwouldbringtothiscareerincludecommunication,
    organization,speaking,activelistening,dedication,determination,andpatience.Thiscareer
    wouldequipmewiththestrengths/skillsthatincludemonitoring,criticalthinking,oral
    expressionandcomprehension,informationordering,problemsensitivity,deductivereasoning,
    andspeechrecognition.Sincethiscareerconsistsofanaverageannualsalaryof$35,600,it
    wouldnotadequatelyfitintomybudget.Thus,thisparticularcareerwouldnotallowmeto
    financiallysupportmyselfandmyfamilyduringdifficulttimes.Aveterinarytechniciancareer
    mayappearasagoodalternativeoptionformeifworkingasalargeanimalveterinarianmakesit
    difficultandpreventsmefromspendingtimewithmyfamily,consideringthefactthatasa
    veterinarianIwouldbeonemergencycallduringweekendsandholidaysaswell.
