Avicenna Academy, a small, private, PS-8 institution in the

Merrillville/Crown Point area, seeks a highly motivated,
licensed with the state of Indiana, teacher for a multi-level
classroom. We are dually accredited (IDOE & AdvancED).
Teacher will be tasked with teaching Social Studies and
English Language Arts for students in grades 4 through 8,
and may be responsible for Science and/or Math for grades 4
and 5. The position is somewhat flexible for the right
candidate. Teacher must work well independently and be a
good team player. S/he must be passionate about education
and willing and able to teach every child, at the childs level.
We offer our students an excellent education in an Islamic

REQUIREMENT: Possess or qualify for Indiana state
educators license
PREFERRED: Experience with mixed-level classroom
Compensation: consistent with our in-house scale and
commensurate with level of education and years of teaching
experience.
