Summer Employment
General Description
This position works under the direction of the Executive Financial Officer and the
Director of Finance. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for assisting with the
processing of accounts payable and payroll transactions.
As part of the Finance Department team, the Accounting Clerk also assists in all areas as
required by his/her supervisor including, but not limited to:

Financial analysis
Correspondence with vendors, other departments and band members
Financial reporting for funders
Preparing source documents
Special projects
Audit preparation
Filing

Core Competencies

Completed or enrolled in a Business or Commerce Degree

Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer applications
Experience with accounting software
Knowledge of accounts payable and payroll process in a business setting
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Verbal, presentation and writing communication skills
Time management skills
Organizational skills

This position requires strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality.

This is an entry-level position and the successful candidate will receive training related to
their duties.
