6S Major Assignment Term 2 2015

This term we are studying the ancient civilisation of The Romans. You will become explorers,
archaeologists and historians creating your own mini Roman Museum. This is a major
assignment divided into separate sections to be completed by Week 7 Term 2 (Tuesday 2nd
June). During this week you will be presenting your discoveries and research to your class.

students back through time; share with them an overview
of the Roman civilisation.
You have worked hard on the ruins and made several
discoveries. Make a replica artefact. You may decide to sew
a Roman costume, carve a religious icon, design and
create a piece of jewelry, replicate a smaller version of a
Roman structure or city, paint a Roman artwork

Create a map of a Roman village. What are the main


monuments and features of a Roman village or city? Labels
and a scale are important when drawing maps.
The Romans had many Gods. Choose one God and create a
detailed report on the God or an overview of all Gods.
With all of your experience and knowledge choose one
aspect of the Roman civilisation that appeals to you.
This is a presentation of your choosing. Photo slide show,
powerpoint (maximum 10 slides), interview, documentary
etc demonstrating your knowledge on the Romans,
