(Week 5)

1. Identify any brophytes, seedless vascular plants, gymnosperms, or angiosperms

(monocot or dicot) in your area.
After spending time in my given site, I found various plants that could be identified. I
have two different dicot angiosperms and 3 different monocot angiosperms.
2. For each, explain why you classified them the way you did.
For my two dicot angiosperms, I knew that any plant that was flowering was a dicot
angiosperm. Each plant had flowers so I determined that they were both angiosperms. For my
other three angiosperms, they were different types of grasses. Since they dont have flowers, I
determined that they were monocot angiosperms.
