1. How did you hear about this program?

2. Describe your experience in community activism and organizing. (Specify if you have had experience working
on Korea-related issues).

3. Have you ever been to Korea? If so, when was the last time you went?

4. KEEP can be physically and emotionally challenging for participants. (i.e. very demanding schedule, cramped
living quarters, and intense group dynamics). Do you have experience living and working under such physically
and emotionally challenging conditions? Where? When? For how long? In what capacity?

5. Anticipate during this program that unexpected changes may arise (i.e. scheduling and accommodations), which
will require immediate decisions and action by KEEP coordinators. Will you be comfortable entrusting yourself
to the leadership of KEEP coordinators and local organization?

6. How would you handle a situation where you felt like a fellow participant, coordinator, or local organizer, or
resident was acting in an oppressive fashion (i.e. based on gender, sexual orientation, class, nationality, etc.)?
What are some things you might keep in mind if you found yourself in this situation? Do you think you would
be very likely to say something or not to say something in such a situation? Why or why not?

7. What are your personal and political goals in participating in KEEP 2010?

8. What skills or abilities do you have that will contribute to the program? As a participant, you will be expected
share in some of the following ways: translation (if applicable), group facilitation, logistical support, peer
support, food, etc.
