1.1 INTRODUCTION
This research paper is about GREEN PRODUCTS AND PERCEIVED ENVIRONMENTAL
RESPONSIBILITY OF CONSUMERS in India. Environmental problems are associated with human
consumption; therefore the problem of conservation is highly related to consumer consumption
behavior. Hence consumers need to be responsive to reduce environmental damage through the
consumption of environmental friendly products.
Consumers concern with green issues is a worldwide subject that continuously changes their lifestyle
into becoming more environmentally responsible. One green awareness event jointly observed by the
global community is the energy-saving campaign of switching off lights for one designated hour to
reduce environmental impact, known as Earth Hour. The program has smoothened the progress of
attaining a sustainable lifestyle for consumers worldwide. A consumer whose purchasing behaviour is
persuaded by environmental concerns is known as a green consumer.
SUB-OBJECTIVES:
To study the of level of awareness of the environment friendly products among the
customer
To find out the consumer beliefs and attitude towards environment friendly products.
To understand the influence of green marketing on consumers' purchase decision.
