Remember that a harmonic minor scale


is a natural minor scale with a raised 7th degree

Step 3 Label the triads using


capital Roman Numerals for major (III, V, VI)
triads and small RN's for minor & diminished (i, ii, iv, vii)

This matrix will be useful when analyzing musical selections. It gives you an
immediate reference for chords which are commonly used in a harmonic minor key.
This process will differ for major keys. (See file called major matrix)
