RE: Bharat Nitin SHIROLE

On 14 August, 2008, the La Trobe Institute for India and South Asia (LIISA) held a
celebration of India’s Independence Day. This was attended by the Minister assisting
the Victorian Premier on Multicultural Affairs, Vice-President of the Victorian Chapter
of the Australia India Business Council, and the Consul General of India, Melbourne.
The Vice Chancellor of La Trobe University and other dignitaries were present at the
celebration. There were formal speeches, Indian food, and cultural activities including a
dance and a play to commemorate the occasion.

Mr Bharat Nitin Shirole assisted in the organising of the event and was instrumental in making it
a success. He liaised with the organisers from LIISA, was involved in planning the event and
carried out tasks allocated to him most efficiently. He is to be complimented for his motivation,
organisational skills and cooperative disposition, positive attitude and the ability to engage in
teamwork.

I am confident that these attributes will help Bharat to achieve much success in his chosen
professional career.

Yours sincerely
