Contingency Plan:
-Class will be cancelled or moved to an available indoor facility weather permitting.
-Equipment will be easily accessible from the CPASS building equipment closet. An order of
equipment will be placed prior to the day of class to ensure it is ready.
-If the students are late, I can decrease the time of the fitness routine and/or practice to ensure the
application task is completed. Also, if there was suppose to be a quiz, I can move it to the next class
period.
-If there is a lack of equipment, I can easily walk to the equipment closet and check more out for
class.
Reflection:
In my first lesson, I was able to implement the basic critical elements of both fielding a ground ball
and pop fly and also throwing. The two tams were able to go through the fitness routine and the skill
builders smoothly, but had a little confusion when it came to the application task practice. The
application task was designed to practice and compete by catching pop flies in the outfield and
hitting different distance targets. There were a few moving parts that were confusing and I could
have explained the rules a little better. Through the practice, I had to bend a few rules. Everything
that looks good on paper never pans out to be as good in the actual class. I believe my first class
went very smoothly, but the difficulty of directions towards the application task could have been
better. Next time, I can send out the application task rules before class so that all of the students can
see what will be happening in class and email me questions prior to the actual task.
