Objective
To obtain a leadership position in a large, diverse school district. To positively affect teaching and
learning to all students in a large school system. To integrate technology appropriately with learning
and increase collaboration among teachers in a grade level as well as within a vertically aligned

Harding Middle School: 8 grade math, 6 grade science. During my years at Harding, I made positive
relationships with students and helped to raise test scores in my grade level contents. I participated
in the Building Leadership Team working on the master schedule, staffing allocations, and creating
and presenting professional development to staff. I helped lead my grade level and subject area PLCs
and worked collaboratively to create lessons using the gradual release framework.
Ankeny Community School District

August 2010 June 2011

Substitute teacher: Ankeny High School, Northview Middle School, Parkview Middle School. In Ankeny,
I substituted in math, science, language arts, health, and talented and gifted classes. I experienced
different classroom management and building management strategies while teaching multiple grade
levels and contents.
