HGS Lack of trust on both sides — Iving Example: Opt day situation [At the beginning of the year we were told we would follow the MDCPS calendar. That gives teachers the ability to choose their opt days if they worked them prior to school starting. Then he “dictated” those days, but not clearly. So some people took them, some did not. Since he planned a PD on good Friday, he then said everyone had to come since they had used their opt days. Pat G. verbally contested it; he chastised her, including the way she approached him. Also told Pat he knew she was one of the teachers bad-mouthing him in the community, and talking to board members in the parking lot. Pat said she doesn’t ‘want to meet with him alone again. Anne sent him emails quoting the rules, and then he backed down. But his email did say “4/1 is NOT an opt day.” That is not what he told the personnel committee this week. Example: Promised Francis (according to Francis) the APC job. She is now leaving. Example: at the beginning of the year, told personnel committee that paras are bringing home grading, Stated that Darcy brought home Gispert’s. This is false. This is now true of Serra-Jovenich, but he was surprised that she was grading papers. ‘Who did he think was grading them?
