Alphrodonia: A History

The land of Alphrodonia is currently situated in the Rune Midgard Kingdom the 17th Age
under the ruling of King Regillus Ventus XIV. A land flourished with wealth and trade since
the 5th Age, Alphrodonia is one of the main sources for the King to have in his arsenal. The
bounty from Alphrodonia is usually distributed by the King amongst the people all over Rune
Midgard. Alphrodonia is also known as "CentrumCommercium" or The Centre of Trades
back in the 9th Age.
Alphrodonia was founded by a group of trader's guild known as Felix Mercator back in the
middle of the 2nd Age. The guild was later renamed to Alphrodonia Traders Guild in the
middle of the 7th Age. The name was chosen in honour of the founder of the guild, Alyph
Von Ignis Strife (a descendant of one of the great heroes before the 1st Age, Alyph Strife).
The guild still stands strong until today where they have become one of the most powerful
and rich guild that governs a city.
Located in the north of Centra (known as old Centra until the 3rd Age), Alphrodonia is a city
in the middle of the Great Desert of Severus Caedelium. However, Alphrodonia itself isn't a
barren desert city. Alphrodonia is a magical city filled with the bounties of nature.

As a powerful ally of Centra, Alphrodonia is heavily guarded from marauders and enemies
by the Royal Army of Centra, Division XCVII. Hence, visitors and denizens never need to
worry about invasions.
Besides that, Alphrodonia is also proud of its cultural heritage that was passed down from
generation to generation since the annal of time (or at least since the founding of it, mind
you). The trademark "Arcantum Felix" dance is one of the most famous cultural arts
preserved till today. This dance is also the basic movements for Alphrodonia's traditional
martial arts, the Tempest Desertum Lamina Style.
