Farewell Speech Checklist If Someone Else Is Leaving

1. Expresses appreciation for the way you worked, co-operated, learned or lived with.
2. Characterize the leaving person.
3. Link her or him to the history of the community, place, company, school or college.
4. Achievements, successful projects?
5. Memories, stories, anecdotes?
6. Why is he leaving? What do you think of it? Describe your feelings.
7. Wish him all the best for future successes.
8. State: We won't forget you, followed by: You won't forget us either. And tell why.
9. Conclude your farewell speech with presenting a gift.
Welcome, everyone, to this very special occasion. And a bitter-sweet occasion it is.
Its very sad to be saying goodbye to CMD, Mr. U.S. Jha sir,. But at the same time we know that he
leaves us in very good shape i.e. on factory front strengthened our plants, enhancing production capacity
etc. and on employee welfare front given good wage revision especially the 30% HRA to Thalaits .
hes got the chance to enjoy all that hard earned pension before the Chancellor gets his hands on it! I
am sure that the rest of us who have to work into their eighties will have plenty of time to mull this over.
Ever since he joined us all those years Jha Sab has been a pillar in this organization. we all know that it
stemmed from his utter commitment to his work and to our people. He has indeed been part of the
lifeblood of this company!
This organization will be a much emptier place without him, but it will be an honor to take up the baton
and try and live up to his expectations.
On a final note, I would like to wish you all the very best on behalf of all of us. We really hope you have a
very wonderful time with vigor and good health.
