Steam Turbine

Description

Function
The function of the changeover valve is to manually
operate the actuator of the extraction NON Return
Valve.
Mode of Operation
The trip oil (connection x) holds the valve (10) in
the upper end position (illustrated) against the force of
the spring (8). The trip oil flows via the holes in the
valve to connection x 1 and then on to the actuator of
the extraction NON Return Valve. The valve can be
moved downwards by means of

1 Handwheel
2 Spindle
3 Cap nut

5 Lip ring

handwheel (1) by doing so connection x1 is connected

to the drain c and the trip oil drains away from the
actuator of the extraction NON Return Valve. The
spring of the actuator can then initiate the closing of
the extraction NON Return Valve. If the pressure drops
at the trip oil connection x, the spring (8) pushes the
valve (10) downwards and in this way the oil in the
actuator of the extraction NON Return Valve is also
connected to drain.
