DISCUSSION

We are given an assignment with two questions. For question

number 1 is a question about two degree of freedom models which is
given a vehicle that allows for bounces and pitch motion. In this question
are given the value of k1 which is 10kN/m, k2 is 50kN/m and initial
displacement of centre gravity is 20mm. In this question, the value of
damping which is c1 and c2 is neglected.
For this question, we find and study about the solution by refer to
the topic chapter four which is multy degree of freedom. The degree of
freedom is the number of independent parameters that define its
configuration. It is the number of parameters that determine the state of a
physical system. For this problem, we use a harmonic solution which is
x ( t ) X cos(t + ) and

( t ) = co s (t + ) .

For the question number two, is a problem about fundamental

frequency of beams and shaft. In this question, that are given 2 mass at a
beam which is 100kg and 50kg. The length of the beam is 2m. A simpler
equation can be derived for the fundamental frequency of the lateral
vibration of a beam or a shaft carrying several masses. In these cases, the
static deflection is used as an approximation of the dynamic deflection
curve.
We solve these question by using the deflection due to a static load.
We just put in the value into the equation and calculate that. So that at
the end of the solution we can find the equation of natural frequency.

CONCLUSION
For the conclusion from this problem that are given we can learn
about the solution for the problem two degree of freedom and a
fundamental frequency of beam and shaft. We also know how to
determine the equation of motion of these question. From this problem
also, we can learn to solve this question by using the other method that
have.
