MORAL VALUES
BRAVERY
When Mohd Asraf was in trouble with Encik Mohan and his son due
to an escaped bull from the farm, Azreen bravely came to his
defence by taking the blame of letting the farm gate open. Apart
from that, Azreen was also brave in confronting a mob led by Puan
Normala when they tried to chase the Old Lady from Mohd Asraf's
house. Azreen's attempt to stop Mohd Asraf's foot with a spade also
showed her bravery. Saleh Abdullah, too, braved the fire at the Old
Lady's house and saved Azreen from being burnt to death.

FIGHTING FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN

Azreen was persistent in her quest for the truth of Madhuri's death.
She refused to believe that Madhuri's death was accidential, so she
persistently looked for the truth and she was vindicated at the end
when she found out the truth.

CARING

Madhuri is a caring sister who frequently protects Azreen from being

punished by their father due to Azreen's mistakes. Madhuri also
cares for her ailing mother as she tries to drop by to complete the
housework and cook her meals even though she is married to Haji
Ghani. Madhuri also helped Azreen to mend their mother's favourite
rattan basket after Azreen broke it while collecting Durians. They
worked throughout the night and hurt their fingers in the process.

CONCERN

In the aftermath of Madhuri's death,Mohd Asraf advised Azreen not

to tell her ailing mother that Madhuri was dead so as not to
aggravate the situation. This shows that Mohd Asraf cares for the
well being of Azreen and her family. When Azreen refused to have
dinner after being scolded by her mother and caned by her
father,Madhuri went to console her,and at the same time, passed
some food to her.
