Data Visualisation is an important aspect of our work. Thus,
choosing the best data visualisation tool is of utmost importance. A
few notes regarding some of the websites. Integration with R is also
important in this respect.
1. http://www.informationisbeautiful.net/ - Basically provides
beautiful presentations and visualisations of data that they have
created. Maybe useful at a later stage, when we want to present
our results.
2. Dygraph/Zing Charts - Two of the most suitable tools to sue
for this project.
3. Better World Flux - Again, provides beautiful visualisations of
the important social indicators.
4. Fusion Charts - They mainly cater to big corporate houses.
Their products are not free, not quite suitable for our research
work.
5. Leaflet - Mainly used for creating maps.
6. Flot - Javascript library for data visualisation. No plugin for R.
Thus, Dygraph/Zing Charts is the best alternative for data
visualisation for our project.
