3) Provide appropriate school planning that suit pupils abilities, interests and
their development.
4) To create awareness among students at an early age about the importance
of education.
5) Assist students in problema solving throughout the learning process
6) Assist students in making rational decisions.
7) Helping students pratice good habits, appreciate work and have good
personal traits.
8) Work with parents to monitor students' progress.
9) Fill CODE 001 (school record) and Code 002 (personal record)
10) Work with guidance teacher in organizing the programmes.
11) Refer to guidance and counseling teachers in schools.
12) Refer to guidance and counseling teachers about students who need
professional help.
The importance of guidance and counseling
1. Provide Information
- Problems usually arise due to lack of information
- Gaining a clear understanding to help clients overcome problems
2. Promoting Literacy
- Helping clients understand themselves and the environment
- Learned that clients themselves are the cause of the problem faced
3. Providing Support
- Provides emotional support, intimacy to reduce the burden of the problem
4. Conflict Resolution
- Reduce tense between two parties
- Helping to accept the differences and how to overcome
- Learn the appropriate behavior
- Helping clients to resolve issues that interfere
- Investigate and understand the kind of pressure or problems faced by
clients
5. Decision Making
- Helping clients make decisions
- Giving suggestion and discuss before taking action.
