Trainer: Actually carrying out training


Provider: Designing, updating, maintaining and delivering training
programme
Internal Consultant: Analyze organizational problems, and
recommend solutions
Innovator: Supporting and assisting organizations to bring about
effective change and solve performance problem
Learning specialist
Planner, Administrator and organizer: planning organizing,
controlling developing the training function. Setting training goals
Visonory: As a perspective thinker he develops a long term vision
for the organization and training function

Challenges of a training manager

Financial challenges: Often training manager has to work with a challenge from finance
department about budget and cost estimate and source of training
Technical challenges: He/she has to keep updated with all latest changes in rules
regulations, technology, legislations.
Process challenges: New methods of training is being uploaded in the training field. E
learning new software etc., using new equipments and resource material has to be up
dated and should be able to handle
Strategic challenge: The strategic challenge is to monitor and respond to expected
changes in skill requirements, and to deliver training which provides demonstrable,
measurable bottom line results, both short and the long term.
Professional challenge: To keep updated with changing practices and skill, to manage
ongoing professional development. Ensuring own development
Institutional challenges: How to build good institutions for the well being of HRD
department is a big task
Ideological challenge:
Challenge to be free from favoritism/ nepotism:

Conclusion
Training a complex function at times you
may get frustration. But if it is carried out
with passion, you may get enormous job
satisfaction and pleasure resulting in
organizational effectiveness
