BEAM DYEING PREPARATION PARAMETERS

1) The density of the beam should be 420 to 480 gm/dm3(average 450 gm/dm3).
2) The traverse area should be 10 mm, if traverse increases then the density will be
decreased.
3) The density of the beam should be same in the side of the flanges, otherwise
pressure will be leaked in flanges area.
4) For lower EPI the traverse should be higher.
5) For higher count, if traverse is lower than the density will be higher.
6) The knotting should be proper in the beam.
7) No of beam should be prepared either 16 or 4
8) Liquor ratio should be adjusted to the level of the beam height.
9) All the yarns of the ends should be knotted in one side of the beam to collect the
dyeing sample.
10) Before dyeing the beam should be wetted at a pump speed of 50-60% to remove
the entrapped air.
11) Pump speed of the dyeing machine should be controlled properly to prevent the
beam leakage during dyeing. 80% speed is acceptable, the speed should be
lower in case of leaked beam.
12) After bleaching, the beam leakage should be checked.
13) In case of leaked beam, the leaked area should be wrapped tightly with RFD
cloth.
14) If the beam is leaked in top side, then it should be lifted & rotated in the bottom
position.
15) Dyeing should be made without any addition of dyes.
