An adult is defined as someone over the age of 16. Adults who are supervising children must
themselves determine that they have the required competencies to undertake the task.
It is the responsibility of the adult to:
Provide safe supervision of their children at all times.
Remain in the water with the children at all times while maintaining a constant watch and be
within arms length of the children who are weak or non-swimmers.
It is the responsibility of the adult to ensure all non/weak swimmers wear appropriate floatation
aids and stay in the designated safe area at all times.
