Summer Pool Hours

The Pool will be opening in a couple of months. The pool will open Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and remain open
until Labor Day. Daily pool hours will be from 9:00 am to 9:00pm. The pool will close promptly at 9:00pm and all
members and guests are asked to strictly observe pool hours in consideration of the neighbors, and for the pool manager.
There is a lot of cleanup that needs to be done every evening, A list of “pool rules” are included, and are also posted at
the pool. Please read and become familiar with the rules. As a ‘neighborhood association’, all members are responsible
for their own conduct and that of their family and guests. Guests are not to be using pool facilities without a Metea Valley
resident member present at all times. The pool is a ‘swim at your own risk’ facility, as there is no life guard on duty at any
time. We are required to comply with Indiana state statutes pertaining to public swimming pools

• No Lifeguard is on duty; all swimming is at your own risk.

• If you have a guest, the member must be at the pool also.
• No swimming alone.
• Swimmers under 14 years of age must have an adult member with them. According to state
pool laws, 14-17 year olds do not qualify as an adult to supervise those under the age of 14. Don’t
expect others to supervise your kids.
• No smoking on premises.
• No alcohol on the premises.
• No glass containers are to be in the pool area.
• No running, pushing, shoving or other activities that may be injurious to others is allowed.
• Infants in diapers should wear swimming diapers. These diapers should be checked on a
regular basis.
• Others who need to ‘go to the bathroom’ should use the restrooms that are provided. The pool
water is tested daily. If the water shows an unsatisfactory result, the pool will be shut down until the
levels return to normal. (If the water tests are unsatisfactory for three days in a row, the State will close
the pool.)
• No one is allowed in the pool with an open sore; therefore no band-aids are allowed.
• Appropriate swimwear only is allowed in the pool; please no cut-offs or everyday shorts.
• Suntan oil is prohibited (It clogs the drain!) Allow suntan lotion to dry 20-30 minutes before going
into the pool.
• Please take any toys with you when you leave and pick-up any trash you may have generated.
• Pets are not allowed inside the fence or pool area.
• Property damage caused by a member will be charged to the member.
• The association is not responsible for lost or stolen items; protect your stuff.
• Bicycles must be parked in the provided bike racks. Do not leave bicycles in the parking area.
• Please ensure that the gate is closed, when leaving the pool.
• If there are any problems with the pool or equipment, please contact the Pool Manager or a
Board member to get it resolved.
• No one shall use the pool except during posted pool hours.
• No one shall use the pool except during the posted hours of 9:00am to 9:00pm.
