The Crossing Pool Association

Pool Rules are as follows:

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. Swim at your own risk. Be

familiar with lifesaving equipment and procedures.
POOL OPEN 9:00am to 10:00pm. The pool is available to
all members and their guests during open times. Note:
Swimming alone is never recommended. At minimum,
please be sure someone else is aware and within eye/ear
shot.
Appropriate swimwear required. Cutoffs, gym or tennis
shorts are not allowed in the pool.
Members and nonresident guests only. Anyone residing
in The Crossing or South Crossing Subdivisions must be
an active member to use the pool. Please limit guests to
three (3) per member. Member hosts are required to stay
in the pool area with their guests and are responsible for
the actions of their guests.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible
pool member who is 16 years or older and is with them at
all times.
Kiddie Pool is for supervised children under 5 years old.
They must have an adult with them at all times.
Swim Diapers are required on all children not toilet
trained. All children still using diapers need to wear
appropriate swim diapers while in the pool.
Food and beverages are allowed in the pool area.
However, no food or beverages are allowed in the pool.
Pick up your trash. Debris that falls into the pool can
easily cause damage to the filtration systems and food
crumbs will attract insects (namely ants) and wildlife.
Please be careful in making certain the trash gets into the
garbage containers and the crumbs are cleaned up.
No alcohol, gum or glass containers allowed. To promote
a safe and clean experience for all, alcohol, gum and glass
containers are not allowed.
No tobacco use. Smoking and tobacco chewing are not
allowed on the pool property except in the designated
areas.
No running, diving, dunking, wresting or excessive
splashing. The pool is too shallow for any type of diving.
Enjoy only safe and considerate play to ensure members
and guests can enjoy the pool.
No abusive or offensive language, cursing or obscenities.
Cursing and rudeness is not acceptable and will not be
tolerated.
No pets allowed. Working service animals in
accommodation for persons with disabilities are welcomed.
No electrical devices allowed. To reduce the risk of
electrocution, only battery-operated devices are allowed.
Further, earphones must be used with all music playing
devices.
Single-person flotation toys only. For the safety and
enjoyment of all, floating toys must be used as intended
for one person at a time. Please limit the size and number
of rafts to avoid over-crowding.
No open sores or contagious diseases. Persons wearing
bandages and/or with skin abrasions, colds, inflamed
eyes, open wounds or other types of possibly contagious
infections are prohibited from entering the pool.
No swimming if lightning or thunder are present. Be
aware of the weather conditions and leave the pool area
when thunderstorms are near.
Keep Pool Member key card visible. Members not
possessing a valid pool key (and their guests) will be
asked to leave. Any pool member may ask to see another
members pool key for membership verification.
Periodically, Pool Board Members will perform spot checks
of pool cards, names and homeowner address to ensure
membership compliance.
Pool Key Cards shared with non-members will be
revoked. In fairness to all members, attempts to avoid
membership dues will not be tolerated. Sharing pool key
cards with non-members, suspended members or members
who have not paid their pool dues is a serious violation
and all members involved will have their pool membership
privileges suspended for 30 days minimum.
Pool Gate. Please do not open the pool gate for others and
please do not ask others to open the gate if you do not
have your card with you. Opening the gate for others may
unintentionally allow non-paying members access to the
pool. Members who have problems with their pool keys
are to direct problems to the pool board.
Report rule violations to the Pool Board. The Pool Board
is serious about maintaining a safe and enjoyable
swimming pool for all members and their guests. If you
need to report a pool violation, please contact us at (816)
533-7000 or send an email, questions@crossingpool.com.
Violations of pool rules may result in suspension of pool
privileges. The Pool Board reserves the right to suspend
pool membership of those willfully violating these pool
rules.

IN THE EVENT THERE IS AN ACCIDENT, CALL 9-1-1.

At the earliest convenience, the Pool Board should be notified.

By observing these rules, all members benefit by limiting

insurance costs, maintenance costs and management costs.
Please remember that the pool is here for everyone to enjoy.
Be conscious of others and most importantly, be safe.

Thank you,

The Crossing Pool Board
