Dear Mr. Casselman,
Thank you for taking the time to review my resume forwarded to you by my brother Adrian
Heieis, who worked at the Lupins Restaurant at Grouse Mountain in previous years. My
brother told me that the restaurant usually hires for summer positions at this time, so I am
applying for a position as a table busser for the summer break. I have been skiing and hiking
on Grouse Mountain for many years, and have enjoyed many meals at Lupins restaurant, so I
know I would enjoy this as a work environment.
In my resume you will note that I have extensive volunteering experience, as well as being a
paid referee and coach, that shows I am responsible, organized, and hard working. My
volunteering background also makes me suitable for a bussing position. For example, I have
been responsible for wiping down the mats after helping teach kids wrestling, and wiping
down the tables and cleaning the room while volunteering with the Recreation Commission
summer camp program. I know that Grouse Mountain is a busy tourist location and can have
a high volume of people in the restaurant, so the tables will need to be cleared and cleaned
quickly. I am a high paced worker and work well under pressure. I know I can meet the high
standards you have set at Grouse Mountain.
