3. PTZ Control setting on MegaPIT

a. Login to the MegaPIT via web browser. (Username: Administrator Password: 1234
for firmware 2.9.5)
b. Go to Configuration page and then select Serial Port Configuration as below.

c. Go to Port 1 Port 8 to select the PTZ protocol. We select VCL(PTZ) for example.
The setting is 9600bps / 8N1 / RS485.

d. Scroll to the bottom and then click Apply to update the MegaPIT.

4. PTZ Control setting on SetMax

In Serial Tab

- The port type should be set as Subrack

- Baudrate is 19K2
- Stay Alive is enable
- Data bit is 7E1
In Video Input Tab
SetMax use parameters in SOURCE CONTROL to control the PTZ.

PTZ control parameter

4.1 Control PTZ via MegaPIT
Parameter

Port number, the range is 1~8, indicate the 8 port on
MegaPIT. The corresponding MegaPIT port should be set as
PTZ protocol on MegaPIT. (The MegaPIT setting, please
refer to MegaPIT manual)
Indicate the address of PTZ.
CONTROL SLOT
(CONTROL SLOT-1)*26+ CONTROL OFFSET
CONTROL OFFSET
To set the PTZ address as 27, the CONTROL SLOT and
CONTROL OFFSET should be 2 and 1.
The range of CONTROL OFFSET is 1~26,

Example: I have 2 Scandome III camera with PTZ address 19 and 28. Camera address 19
is connected to MegaPIT port 1 and Camera address 28 is connected to MegaPIT port 2.
SetMax setting for Camera Add 19 Control ID: 1 Control Slot: 1 Control Offset: 19
SetMax setting for Camera Add 28 Control ID: 2 Control Slot: 2 Control Offset: 2
