Cell group notes

w/c 28th February 2010

Welcome

Who do remember who was good at telling stories?

Worship

We’re having a ‘bring your worship with you’ week - so encourage everyone to share
something which has helped them to meet with God this week – scripture passages,
words of prophecy, pictures, songs - and use these to worship together.

Word
This weeks passage is Acts 26:1-32 and we’re using it to think about what it means to
‘declare the praises of him who called us’ from 1 Peter 2:9
Pray for God’s help, then ask someone to read it out.

1. Why do you think Paul considered himself fortunate to stand before Agrippa?
2. What was the main point he was trying to make?
3. What adjective would you use to describe Paul’s defence?
4. Paul used the story of his meeting with Jesus whenever he could. In pairs, take 2
minutes each to tell each other how you came to faith in Jesus.
5. How often do you share that story with someone else?
6. What would help you to be able to share it more often?
7. How can you pray for each other to grow in ability to share what God has done
your life?

Witness

1) In threes pray for the people on your contact list – that they might be open to hear
what Jesus has done, and for yourselves to have opportunities to speak.

2) 1-7th March is Tearfund’s Global Poverty Pray week – you can find lots of prayer info
at www.tearfund.org/Praying/GPPW+2010/One+voice. Spend some time praying for the
end to world poverty, and Christians working to achieve it. (I’ll send a prayer guide with
the notes too)
