Raf

Nasb

Jarr

If we add a single harakah, or one sound, to the end of a singular ism, we

can determine if its Raf, Nasb or Jarr status. These are known as sound
endings. For pair or people plural Isms, we add a few letters to the end of
the word. Thats called an ending combination.
Whenever you are trying to determine the status of an Ism, you have to ask
yourself, Is this an ending sound or ending combination? You should
ALWAYS check for ending combinations first.

PRONOUNS ARE WEIRD.
Heavy vs Light
All the words in the charts above are considered FAT or HEAVY. When you
say the chart aloud, you will notice that all the words end in an n sound,
even if they dont have a at the end.
To make a word LIGHT, and not HEAVY, the extra n sound is taken off.
Here is the light version of the charts above.

Normally a word should have heavy status. Light isms are suspicious. if a
word is light, it needs to have a reason to be so. There are four reasons
that an ism can be light:
1.
2.
3.
4.
A word must have one of these four reasons to be light.
