Installing the VPN Client

AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client VPN Installation

Supported Operating Systems:

Windows 7, 8 & 8.1
Mac OS X 10.8, 10.9 & 10.10
Linux Red Hat 6 & Ubuntu 12.x (64-bit only)
Requirements:
Web browser with the latest version of Java installed

NOTE:
This step is to be performed only once when first installing VPN to your machine, thereafter, simply connect to
VPN.

Browse to https://vpn.swin.edu.au/
Enter SIMS username and SIMS password and login

Installation will begin automatically

Select run to allow the installation of the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client
*Note: Disable any popup blockers and any browser security that may prevent Java from running the
installer. You may also be prompted to allow the installation. If prompted for another username and
password to make changes to your computer, use your local login details.
(Security settings and prompts may differ between browsers and versions of operating systems.)

Select Connect
Enter SIMS username and SIMS password and OK

To Disconnect from VPN

From the system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac OS) select the VPN icon
Select Disconnect
