**********Heroes in Mythology************

This class will journey through bits and pieces of mythology by focusing on the
hero. Of course, there can be no hero if there is no villain. So we will also look at
the villains, the monsters, tricksters, etc. of mythology. Our journey will take us
from modern heroes to ancient Greek heroes. We will meet heroes/villains from
not only western traditions but also traditions across the globe.
Most of this class includes hands on projects -- presentations, newspapers, hero
comics, hero monologues (or villain), etc. We will research and apply what we
have discovered to movies, readings, projects, etc.
