play against at one of the Level 1 hoops.
Winner advances to next level and takes a ticket from the nonwinner
Non-winner loses a ticket to the winner and must either move down
a level or complete another lap to buy back into the game
(teachers choice).
Those who advance and win the final level will trade all their tickets
in for a wristband. They may lap again to start the game over.
*Play with dice at each hoop;
Winner has larger number/lower number/odd number/even number
Winner comes up with the answer quickest when
adding/multiplying/subtracting between the 2 rolled dice
*Playing without dice at each hoop;
Total body RPS (Rock Paper Scissors)

Speedway with Popsicle sticks (total sticks, divide between runners)

6 cones
*Popsicle sticks
Students will be grouped into 4-6 different teams and staggered around
the race track.
Popsicle sticks will be in the middle of the gym.
On teachers signal students will relay race around the outside of the
gym (aka the speedway/race track) until all sticks are gone.
Once finished, students will count how many sticks they have
collectively.
The winning team can decide what exercise the rest of the teams need
to do and then they will perform that for the amount of the winning
teams total. (ex; the winning team earned 16 sticks and chooses
jumping jacks, then the other students have to perform 16 jumping
jacks).

Pinnies/jerseys (5 different colors of 5-6)

*Clothespins with ABCs

*5 clipboards/paper/pencils
Group students into teams of 3-5 with matching pinnies.
Each student should clip 3-4 clothespins down the back (spine) of their
pinny.
On signal, students will attempt to steal as many clothespins from any
other opponent until teacher gives signal to stop and return to their group.
o Students may only take 1 clothespin at a time.
o Students should kneel in designated areas to put on new clothespin
o No one may steal from a kneeling student in the safe zone
o Any loose/fallen pins are free game
When students return to teams after teachers signal, they will then
compile their pins and see what letters they have collected (written on
pins). Together they will create as many words as they can using the

letters they collected. The may not repeat a letter unless they have 2
different clothespins with the same letter. (ex; if they have pins that have
the letters, K, E, O, M, T, Iyou could not create the word MOM, but you
could if you had pins with M, E, O, M, T, I).
o For an even more advanced level, students can create stories/poems
with the words they created.
Odds & Evens
1 pair of foam dice
Students are numbered off & divided into 2 lines that face each other.
One line is designated Odds and the other Evens.
When you roll the die, if it lands on an odd number the Odds will try to
tag the Even partner that is directly across from him/her, before the
Even person touches the end line.
Alternatives;
o Roll 2 dice and the answer to a math problem will determine
odd/even. (add/subtract, multiply)
o Call out (or use randomizer app)
capitals and
adjectives and
states
