Course Overview
Welcome to Seventh Grade Math! Although all subjects are interconnected,
Mathematics as a discipline has its own language, patters of thinking, and
conventions. The goal of mathematics is to develop in students the higher-order,
problem-solving skills needed to succeed later in life. The fundamentals must be
learned and applied for students to move to the next level of problem solving.
In class, we will work together individually, in small groups, and as a whole class.
Seventh Grade Math will emphasize proficiency in skills involving numbers and
operations, measurement, patterns, simple functions, algebra, geometry, and data
and probability.
