 Class Activity
• Teach the class the hand motion patterns associated
with conducting in different time signatures—
speaking nursery rhymes
• Latin you didn’t know you know: split the class into
two teams and play a game in which they earn points
for correctly translating Latin words like semper, Deo,
gloria, pater, etc.
• Listening activity: play music clips and ask to identify
how many parts are being sung. Extra credit: men or
women? Reward system TBD… possibly edible.
