“HOW TO MAKE PHOTO-FRAME ?

Kit:
• Ceramic powder
• DDL (for mixing ceramic powder)
• Acrylic colors of your choice or ceramic colors (used here are acrylic
metallic and base colors)
• Wooden frame (.3mm)
• A knife (preferably without teeth)
• Fevicol
• Spangles, artificial diamonds and flowers or anything that can be used for
decoration)
• Glass (cut into the size of photo )
• Last but not the list photo 
PROCEDURE:
1. Spread a paper on floor i.e on work space.
2. Take a bowl, put half cup of ceramic powder in it.
3. Now, Pour the DDL into the ceramic and keep mixing it until it is properly
gelled with ceramic. Make sure you are not making the mixture too thin or
too viscous. The quality outcome shall depend upon the firmness of mixture.
Enough thick to possibly create shapes outta it.
4. Put this clay in plastic bag. By doing such, the clay get hard or posses any
cracks or kilns.
5. Take wooden sheet. Cut it into the size you wish to make. Like if the size of
photo is 4X6 then
According the design of this frame the size of wooden sheet be 8X8 Or
7X8.

6. Mark 4X6 size on the sheet and cut it with cutter. (see frame for the
support)

7. Now apply fevicol mixed in water on the board with brush.

8. Put a very thin layer of ceramic on this wooden sheet. Dab the clay on sheet
with very little pressure.
9. Keep making the surface plane with the help of knives. To make the surface
look plain and smooth put knife into water, let the excess water drop by.
Hold the knife in your hand and keep it moving over the applied part of
ceramic like we spread jam on bread.
10. Let it dry till it becomes tough. (don’t Burn or put into furnace without any
knowledge or prior experience. ( the told procedure is for novice learner)
11. After drying the thin coat of ceramic, take half spoon of ceramic in your
hand and keep rolling it with two hands until it becomes slander evenly.
12. Now, slowly put fevicol on wooden thin ceramic coated board. Take this
slander shaped rolled ceramic and lightly put it over the frame in coiled
form. It should give embossing effect to the frame. (check frame for
support)
13. Now repeat same procedure for other shapes. (look for distances)
14. Keep it for drying.
15. After drying apply colors of your choice. Put diamonds like I did on the
periphery of embossed portion.
16. Use of metallic colors makes the frame look more rich.

Making of BACK_END of frame:

1. Take a wooden board of the size of what we used for front-end. Take
a slider stand and nail it on the board as shown in the figure.
2. Now take Front-part of frame, put glass on it ( buy and cut it from
nearest glass shop).
Fix it with fevicol in case.
3. Now on back-end of frame, place thick paper on 4sides synchronous to
hollow part of first frame. So that photo can be fixed in the place at
the end.
4. Take two sided cello tape put it on either of frame on all sides of
corner. Put other frame fixed over it.
5. Now the frame is made, all you need to do is to put the photo inside it.
6. (since we have frame size twice that of photo, we need to create the
place for photo to stick firm or else the photo shall drop down below
the desired level .
7. Now cover all sides with thick cello-tape except the upper one from
where the photo is inserted
