Time Needed: 45 Minutes Room Arrangement: Cooperative Groups, 3-5 Students at a Table or desks pushed together Materials: Textbooks, other reference materials, poster paper or chart paper, markers/crayons/colored pencils Process/Directions: After a lesson, tell the students that they will be making posters (that have to do with the lesson). Explain directions for the poster and pass out the rubric if one is being used. Have students get into groups, if not already in them, remind students of the group rules and point to the poster. Have the materials handler in each group get the materials needed. Give students about 45 minutes to complete their posters. Tell them they can share them the next class period, or next day during the content time. Example of when I would use this: Making a poster about the water cycle. Making a poster about a novel that the class just got finished reading. Making a poster on a play or movie we watched.
