Social Studies: Health and Fitness Project

In Health this week we’re starting a new chapter on “staying safe.” To help raise
awareness of the emergency service phone numbers that we use here in Saudi Arabia,
I’d like the children to design, draw and colour a poster (preferably A3 in size) for one
of three emergency services listed below.

Ambulance = 997
Fire = 998
Police = 999

The children should select one emergency service and think about what they do and
when we might need to use them. Like for instance “If I see a fire, I call 998.” They can
draw, colour or even cut out and stick pictures of the emergency service in action that
they’re talking about onto the poster, but it must say somewhere on the poster the phone
number that we use to contact that emergency service.
