Time Needed: 30-45 Minutes Room Arrangement: No Changes Needed Materials: Paper, pencils, texts, historical documents, documentaries, historical novels, autobiographies, biographies and drawing materials. Process/Directions: During a study on a person or time period, explain that the students will be keeping a journal as if they are that person or a person from that period. A person could be assigned to each student or the students could choose a person they are interested in. Have them make a journal that they could staple together and decorate the front. Each day or a few times a week, have the students use materials to study or after the whole class social studies time, the students should make an entry into their journals as that person.
